Pavlodar CHP-3 "PAVLODARENERGO" JSC (subsidiary of "Central-Asian Electric Power Corporation" JSC) becomes more powerful: the CHP has launched new turbine unit PT-65/75-130-13.

The turbine will increase available electric capacity of CHP-3 by 45 MW. This is the third new turbine, replaced at the station since 2011: it is set to replace the dismantled over aged turbine unit PT-60-130/13, which was in operation since 1972. Thus, to a date, the total installed capacity of renovated power equipment amounted to 255 MW among the total capacity of Pavlodar CHP-3 at 525 MW.

"Growth in the consumption of electricity and heat is forecasted in Pavlodar. Installation of a new turbine unit will allow to ensure growing consumption of the city in terms of heat and electricity, what will promote economic growth, successful development of new business projects as well as an improvement of energy supply of residents in the region", - noted Mr. Oleg Perfilov, General Director of "PAVLODARENERGO" JSC. - During the year we are planning to launch into operation one more turbine T-120/130-130PR2 with electric capacity of 125 MW, and that will be a unique achievement in the history of modern electric power industry of Kazakhstan."
