Environmental management system

“PAVLODARENERGO” JSC has a system of environmental management in place, complying with international standards and norms of maximum permitted emissions approved by the legislation.

The Company obtained certificates of compliance with international environmental standards of ISO 14000, ISO 14001:2004 series. Environmental management system in accordance with   ISO 14000 is a part of general management system, including organizational structure, operations planning, distribution of responsibility, practical work and also procedures, processes and resources for developing, implementing and assessing the achieved results of implementation and improvement of environmental policy, goals and objectives. Environmental management system, build in accordance with ISO principles helps to improve management of environmental aspects of the enterprise, which allows significantly lowering costs for energy and raw materials, processing and disposing of wastes. Due to full-fledged control of environmental activity of the enterprise the probability of risk of emergency situations and losses related to them decreases significantly.

Objectives of environmental management system
  1. Development and adoption of Environmental policy indicating principles and duties of the Company related to environmental aspects of operations of enterprises and ensuring the basis for setting the environmental goals and objectives.    
  2. Planning the environmental activity, allowing to put in order and systematize measures and actions aimed at achieving the environmental goals.
  3. Organizing internal and external environmental activity. Essence is in implementing the planned and unplanned (additional) actions, directed at minimizing the consumption of material and energy resources and the discards of pollutants (emissions, wastes, using especially harmful substances, materials, etc).  
  4. Motivating the personnel, which allows including the personnel into environmental protection and natural resources rational use activities.
  5. Internal environmental monitoring and environmental control with a purpose of timely detection of deviation of work of the enterprise from planned indicators.  
  6. Analysis and assessment of results of environmental activity. Function of ensuring the managerial decisions related to environmental efficiency of organization by means of selection of indicators, collection and analysis of data, evaluation of information by criteria of environmental efficiency, preparation of reporting and exchange of information, as well as the periodic review and improvement of this process.
